Pool Deck Resurfacing

At SUNDEK of Tidewater, we install beautiful, slip-resistant, durable pool decks for residential and commercial properties.

Can a damaged pool deck be resurfaced?

Yes! Even if your pool deck is cracked, spalling, fading, or has any other sort of damage, we can resurface it as long as the concrete is structurally sound. In addition to being experts in resurfacing, we are experts in concrete repair. After repairing the damage, we can resurface your pool deck so it looks like a brand new surface. You’ll won’t even be able to tell where the damage was.

What are the design options when resurfacing a pool deck?

When you work with us at SUNDEK of Tidewater, the design options are limitless. SUNDEK has many colors, patterns, and textures to choose from. We can stain your pool deck a particular color and with a specific effect. We can also stamp your pool deck to create the look of materials like brick, cobblestone, limestone, or any other material of your choice. Just let us know what your vision is, and we’ll make it happen.

Are SUNDEK pool decks hot to walk on?

For the pool decks we install, we add a texture that prevents the surface from trapping as much heat as most other concrete surfaces. Choosing a light color will also help keep your pool deck cooler as opposed to a dark color that will trap heat.

Are SUNDEK pool decks safe to walk on?

Yes. Your safety is of our priority, which is why we’ve developed a system for texturing pool decks that makes them slip resistant. Learn more about our approach to creating anti-slip surfaces.

What is the most common coating for pool decks?

At SUNDEK, our most requested coating is Classic Texture (this is the first product SUNDEK developed in 1970). You can customize it to get just about any look you want. Its texture makes the surface slip resistant and cooler to the touch. It’s also non-porous, making it easy to keep clean.

What is maintenance like on a SUNDEK pool deck?

Our clients are often surprised that maintaining a SUNDEK pool deck is surprisingly easy. General maintenance includes removing dirt and other debris every few weeks with a broom, hose, or pressure washer. For stains that are hard to remove, you can use non-abrasive commercial cleaners intended for decorative concrete surfaces. Learn more about maintaining a SUNDEK surface.
